Finding The Right House

Finding The Right House
The National Association of REALTORS® 2003 Profile of Homebuyers and Sellers reports that typical buyers walk through 10 homes and search about eight weeks to find the home that they purchased.

One of the things your real estate agent can help you do is think about the home you want, and what is important to you. The more detailed the list, the better chance you have of finding the right home. The perfect home may not exist, so be realistic about compromise. While you are looking at the wrong home, someone else may be purchasing the one that was right for you.

What features do you most desire in your new home?
Where do you want to live?
What style of home do you prefer?
How soon do you want to be in your new home?
How many bedrooms and bathrooms do you need/want?
What living areas (dining room, family room and kitchen) are most important?
If you found the home you want today, what would prevent you from buying it?
